Ticket Sales Representative

Starting Wage: Base salary plus commission

Job Description:

The ticket sales representative will actively prospect and sell season tickets, 5-game packs and all group packages for the Eau Claire Express. The ideal candidate is someone that is looking for their start in the highly competitive sports industry and has a strong passion for the sport of baseball. Other desired attributes include the passion for sales, a high level of motivation to succeed, willingness to make cold calls on a daily basis, creativity in determining initiatives to increase attendance, and the ability to recognize and meet all sales goals set by the organization. The individual must be available for a two-day sales training prior to the start of employment.

Duration:
The ticket sales representative will begin work in early 2012 and will continue through the Express season, ending in August. At that time, the Express will evaluate performance and determine if full-time employment will be rewarded. Performance will be evaluated on a monthly basis by the General Manager, and weekly meetings will be held to ensure objectives are being worked towards or have been met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prospects, identifies and secures new group sales business and new season ticket and 5 game packages in order to achieve prescribed ticket and revenue objectives
2. Provides superior customer service to all new, existing and potential clients
3. Executes leads by setting up face-to-face appointments with potential groups
4. Adheres to the established policies and procedures in performing all account creation, invoicing, payment, ticket printing and distribution functions
5. Cooperates in forwarding any sponsorship, advertising and team promotions leads to General Manager
6. Maintains detailed prospect list in Glitnir ticket system for improved customer service and evaluation purposes
7. Oversees renewal of all season tickets and 5 game packs at the end of the season

Required Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
2. Sports industry and/or sales experience preferred
3. Ability to work with aggressive sales goals and expectations in a fast-paced environment
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and associated products
5. Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team
6. Capable of self-motivation
7. Strong planning, organization and communication skills
8. Ability to maintain a professional business image
9. Ability and desire to work long hours and weekends
10. Desire to attend networking events taking place in the Chippewa Valley

 

Part-time Stadium Employee

Starting Wage: $7.25 per hour

Job Description:

Required Skills:

The Express desire for all part-time workers to be available for all 35 home games each season. Good communication and customer service skills are a must. The perfect part-time employee arrives at work on time with a positive attitude and is willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure that our fans have the best possible experience at Carson Park.
